Hello again.

Today we will look at another very common spoken use of DEAL.

Expression: a big deal or to make a big deal out of something.

Meaning: something that is very important or to behave as if something is very important.

Example 1:
Speaker 1: Hurry up! We're going to be late!
Speaker 2: I don't think it's a big deal if we arrive 3 minutes late. Relax.

Example 2:
Every time my son comes home with dirty clothes, my wife makes such a big deal out of it. He's only three years old!
