NO WAY!: meaning and examples

Good morning,

Today's expression is: no way

It means: an informal and very definite way of saying 'No'.

Example 1
Paul: Are you planning on going to Trudy's party?
Karen: No way! She lives out in the suburbs! It's too far away for me.

Example 2
Marian: Do you want to come shopping with me this afternoon?
Louise: No way! I've had such a busy morning that the only thing I want to do is sit down and put my feet up.

Example 3
Elaine: Are you going to ask Frank for help?
Bill: No way! The last time I asked him for help, he was so arrogant, pretending like he knew everything. I'd rather do it on my own.
