FALSE FRIEND: SENSIBLE: meaning and examples

Hello again.

Today's word is: sensible (adjective: stress on first syllable)

It means: reasonable and practical.

Example 1:
When you go camping, it's important to wear sensible clothes; they should be practical and comfortable, not fashionable.

Example 2:
Usually you are a sensible person, but today you are very difficult to work with; you are asking us to do things that you yourself would never do.

REMEMBER!
Sensible is a false friend. In Spanish/Catalan it means 'sensato/assenyat' and NOT 'sensible'.

I hope you have a productive day.
