NEW ENGLISH WORDS (ME TIME)

Welcome back to the Daily Vitamin, everyone!

Yesterday we started the week by looking at the Word of the Year for 2018 (TOXIC). For the rest of the week, our lessons are about New English Words. These are words that have recently been added to the English dictionary. Today's word is actually an expression: ME TIME

Definition: Time to do what you want (and not what others want).

Parents often use this word, since they spend most of their time doing things for their children.

Example 1: After the holidays, I needed some me time. I got a massage while my mom watched the kids.

Example 2: I took a bath and drank a glass of wine. I needed some me time

This expression was added to the Oxford English Dictionary in 2018. You can read more about it and other new words at the following link:

That's all for today. Thank you for reading!
