Today we are looking at the phrasal verb TO PUT (SOMETHING) OFF

Definition: to postpone doing something; to procrastinate. 

Example 1: I put off writing the reports and now I'm writing them at the last minute. Bad idea!

Example 2: A customer is putting off paying us. We need to call them and ask for payment.

This phrasal verb can be separated and is transitive
