EXPRESSIONS WITH SPRING (SPRING UP)

Hello, everyone! To celebrate the beginning of spring, we are looking at expressions with the word SPRING. Today's expression is actually a phrasal verb: TO SPRING UP. 

Definition: To appear suddenly. 

Example 1: After a lot of rain, the weeds spring up everywhere in the garden. 

Example 2: I've seen a lot of new coffee shops springing up in this neighbourhood.

Example 3: Sushi is very trendy right now, so a lot of sushi bars are springing up around the city.
