We are ending this week with the expression TO TAKE ONE FOR THE TEAM. 

Definition: To willingly sacrifice something for the benefit of others.

Example 1: Thank you for working late tonight so that Steve could go to his daughter's performance. You really took one for the team.

Example 2: Dan is taking one for the team: he will stay sober and drive everyone home after the wedding.
