BUSINESS IDIOMS (CUT CORNERS): meaning and examples

Welcome to our Wednesday Daily Vitamin, everyone!

We are on day three of our week of Idioms Used in Business. Today we are looking at the expression TO CUT CORNERS

Definition: to do something without care in order to finish it quickly.

Example 1: The builders cut corners; they used low-quality pipes and now we have plumbing problems.

Example 2: Our company never cuts corners. This is why our products are high quality, but also a bit more expensive than our competitors' products.

Example 3: We didn't have enough money for the project, so we had to cut some corners

That's all for today. As always, thank you for reading!

We will see you tomorrow for a lesson about the expression A WIN-WIN SITUATION.
