IDIOMS FOR ANNOYANCE (IRK): meaning and examples

Welcome back, everyone! For those of you who had a holiday yesterday, I hope you are rested.

We are continuing with our Idioms for Annoyance with the word IRK. It's not technically an idiom, but it is definitely a word we can use when we are annoyed.

Definition: to irritate; to annoy.

Example 1: It really irks me when I text someone and they don’t text me back for two days.

Example 2: It irks me that she only shares political posts on Facebook. I would like to see her post some things that are lighter or happier.

What really irks you about technology or social media? Tell us on one of our social media sites! (Yes, we understand the irony of this.)
