WORDY WEDNESDAY: 'TO SHED LIGHT' ZIGGURAT BLOG POST: meaning and examples

Today we are looking at a Ziggurat Blog post from last year. We looked at the TED Talk by Jonathan Klein called "Photos That Changed the World."

It's an excellent speech, and the photos are beautiful! I encourage you to watch it.
The speaker, Jonathan Klein, uses the expression TO SHED LIGHT ON (something) in his speech. This is a great expression and we are looking at it for today's Wordy Wednesday.
Definition: to clarify or supply information about something.
Example 1: The images from Klein's speech shed light on many world issues, like poverty and AIDS.
Here is how Klein used the phrase in his speech.
Example 2: Images have power to shed light of understanding on suspicion, ignorance... and the issue of HIV/AIDS.
