For today's lesson, we are looking at the expression TO HAVE A BEE IN ONE'S BONNET. A bonnet is an old-fashioned hat.

Definition: to be preoccupied or obsessed with something.

Example 1
: She has a bee in her bonnet about the neighbor's barking dog.

Example 2: Our country has a bee in its bonnet now that the government mentioned raising taxes.
