POLLING BOOTH: meaning and examples

Good morning!

Today's word is
: polling booth

It means: the place where you cast your ballot or register your vote. A place where there are many polling booths is called a polling station.

Example 1:
Our local polling booths are not very private. They are just a row of tables in the polling station, which happens to be the school where my children go!

Example 2:
I am fascinated by the American polling booths I see on the TV. They remind me of the instant photo booths that you sometimes see in train stations.
