If you read yesterday's or Monday's Daily Vitamin lessons, then you know that this week's lessons are about Fool Expressions.
Today's expression is: TO MAKE A FOOL OF SOMEONE / ONESELF.
Definition: To trick someone so that they look stupid or foolish; to do something that makes you or someone else look foolish.
Notice that this expression can be reflexive.
Example 1: The man drank a lot and made a fool of himself at the wedding.
Example 2: I was so nervous during my job interview. I think I really made a fool of myself.
Example 3: I'm afraid to sing karaoke because I know I'll make a fool of myself.
Example 4: You have made a fool of your mother. You should be ashamed.
That's all for today's lesson. Thank you for reading!
