Hello, readers! I hope that you had a great weekend.

Did you know that it will be spring this week? To celebrate the change of seasons, we are looking at Expressions with the word "Spring" in them.

Today's expression is: TO SPRING FORTH. It is an older expression because FORTH is a very old word in English (it is similar to the word "forward").

Definition 1: An expression to describe when a liquid is quickly coming out of something (like water coming from a spring).

Example 1: They hit the ground with the axe and the oil sprung forth.

Definition 2: An expression to describe when something comes into existence quickly.

Example 2: I had a speech prepared, but I didn't use it. When I stood on stage, the words just sprung forth

That's all for today. Thank you for reading and happy spring!
