TENSE TUESDAY: 'ADJECTIVE TO' COMBINATIONS: meaning and examples

Hello, everyone! Welcome to Tense Tuesday.

For the last few weeks, we have looked at different ADJECTIVE PREPOSITION combinations. Today we are looking at ADJECTIVE TO combinations. Here are just some of the many we have in English.

accustomed TO

Example 1: In your country, are people accustomed to eating later or earlier in the evening?

addicted TO

Example 2: I think my kid is addicted to video games.

committed TO

Example 3: I am committed to learning English!

dedicated TO

Example 4: He is very dedicated to his job.
